This trek begins with a drive from Kathmandu to the trailhead, followed by gradual ascent through terraced farming land, oak and rhododendron forests, to a Buddhist monastery and finally to the high lakes of Paanch Pokhari. The region lies at the base of the Jugal and Langtang ranges, offering panoramic mountain views, pilgrimage atmosphere and off‑the‑beaten‑path tranquillity. The return descent allows you to soak in the landscape one last time before heading back to Kathmandu.
Trek to Paanch Pokhari (~4,100 m), a sacred group of five lakes beloved by Hindu & Buddhist pilgrims.
Walk through mixed vegetation — from subtropical valley to alpine meadows — and stay in authentic rural lodges.
Stunning mountain panorama including peaks like Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal, Gauri Shankar and more.
Cultural interaction with Tamang communities, monasteries (e.g., Narsing Gumba) and spiritual sites.
Shorter duration but rich experience — ideal for those with limited time or who want moderate trekking challenge.
